This position will be working in a high-volume commercial kitchen at a large medical residential facility. This kitchen serves over 13,000 meals a month.

Must have prior experience in a high-volume rehab, hospital, or medical environment.

Job Purpose: As a Cook at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in preparing and serving large quantities of food for clients in residential or day programs.

Job Functions

• Working from menus and recipes planned by others.
• Determining food requirements.
• Ordering or shopping for food and storing food.
• Planning cooking operations involving the preparation and serving of large quantities of food.
• Maintain food storage areas.
• Directing clients in the cleanup of the kitchen and dining areas for special events.
• Maintain equipment.
• Completing Juvenile Justice Use of Force Training to include physical crisis intervention techniques and completing Protective Action Response (PAR) training if applicable to facility.
• Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

• Level II Background clearance
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
• Requires the equivalent of an applied trades training program in food preparation and service involving at least two thousand hours of training.
