Director of Information Technology- Behavioral Health Not-for-Profit

Pay Rate: $70,000/Annual

Job Purpose: As the Director of Information Technology, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions to provide and encourage leadership as well as providing project management expertise in the Information Technology department for several simultaneous projects and maintenance activities.

Job Functions

  • Participate in strategic and operational initiatives of Aspire as a member of the Aspire's leadership team and lend technical expertise, training, and advice to team members.
  • Participate in Aspire's strategic and operational planning in consultation with the executive leadership team to achieve Aspire goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future systems across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities with team members and vendors for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
  • Help assess and communicate risk associated with technology investments.
  • Lead, assess, and refine Aspire's cybersecurity efforts.
  • Direct the refinement development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Work with vendors, Risk Management, Compliance, and other Aspire management in the prevention of breaches and the execution of activities following an identified breach.
  • Consult with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and make recommendations on the improvement or reengineering of the technology departments.
  • Help prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
  • Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and advise executive management in the pursuance of master contracts.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of excellent customer services regarding technology services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
  • Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable rules, laws and other cybersecurity regulations and is well-positioned to fend off hacking attempts and ransomware demands, and if they do occur demonstrate the ability to successfully restore the system to full functionality in the least amount of time.
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including supportive technologies and advise executive management staff and technology management staff accordingly.
  • Prepare ad-hoc and regular reports as needed.
  • Provide data analytics and reporting when requested.
  • Provide project management expertise, in conjunction with diverse company stakeholders, for large-scale company-wide technology implementations.
  • Encourage learning via coaching, as appropriate, and maximize cross-training efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • This position must maintain professional, positive working relationships, assist in resolving errors and discrepancies, and complete required trainings and/or attend and participate in meetings when necessary and assure that those reporting up through this position behave in a similar fashion.
  • Supervise the Information Technology Network and Cyber team. Work in collaboration/cooperation with the Director of Information Technology Help Desk.
  • Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)

  • Level II Background clearance
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire's insurance company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a closely related bachelor's degree, is preferred.
  • At least three (3) year's managerial-level experience in an information technology-related role is preferred.
  • Successful project management experiences and skills are preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare-related company is preferred.
