Job Purpose: The overall purpose of Payroll Coordinator is to provide all functions necessary to process payroll.
Job Functions
- Compiling and inputting payroll data for hourly and salaried employee payroll
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state and federal wage and hour laws
- Solving payroll problems
- Initiating computerized payroll using Datis/E3, assisting with preparing payroll tax reports and other related reports.
- Verifying tax and statistical reports pertaining to payroll including 941, W2s, and workers compensation reports
- Verifying timesheets
- Preparing payroll Journal entry and uploading into Great Plains for payroll expense analysis and facilitating management and employees understanding of payroll
- Attention to detail is required due to the sheer volume and complexity of Aspire's payroll
- A solid understanding of complicated payroll calculations is required to be successful
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
- Level II Background clearance
- High School Degree
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
- Bachelor in Finance/Accounting preferred
- Experience with payroll software, preferably with Datis/E3
- Experience in producing custom reports on payroll products and be able to export ADP reports to other
- formats.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office - including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Positively handle stress indigenous to performing in a perpetually changing environment
- Demonstrate a successful track record of making and keeping commitments, meeting deadlines and
- leading teams of diverse talents and personalities
- Proactively help contain challenges and help the team organize and strategize to successfully address those
- challenges,
- Take direction and orders as well as give them and
- Be a team player
- Able to provide stellar customer service to the department managers and employees.
